Football fans, get ready. The 2019 Women’s League begins tomorrow — Sunday March 17. The Liberia Football Association (LFA) delayed the matches for two weeks, due to team registration extensions. Now, team registrations have officially ended. Nine teams will compete this season.

According to the LFA Fixture, eight teams will compete in the National Cup season opener. Blanco FC will take on Determined Girls at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) starting at 2 PM. ATS will also host the match between Earth Angels and Naskids FC at 4 PM. On the Tusa Field, Pro Sisters will compete against Island Queens. Then, Senior Pro versus World Girls will follow. The Harbel Hippos will make their season debut next weekend.
Blanco FC already stands out, as the 2019 Super Cup Champions. They defeated Earth Angels 2-1, during the Feb. 24 Super Cup match. As the season unfolds, Go Team Liberia (GTL) will update our women’s league table .
