This has been a great weekend for Liberian athletes. Liberian sprinter Akeem Sirleaf set a new personal best in the 200 meters race. He reached his new time, 20.76 seconds, during the Tyson Invitational. That time allowed him to place second overall. The meet took place in Arkansas. Currently, Sirleaf attends North Carolina A&T as a junior. He is also on the Liberia National Track Team. Follow Sirleaf’s journey here.
